The second program, 'Vessel,' is a tool to make your vessel volume calculations easier.

Developed by AcuTech, this calculator is unique in making the partial fill calculations for horizontal vessels. You may adjust the diameter, length, and fill height and get your answer in gallons, cubic feet, or barrels. There is even a density slider for conversion to pounds. You may choose typical ASME dished heads or hemispherical heads for your horizontal vessel.

Included is a calculator for vertical vessels with trays and packing, large storage tanks and long pipes. Process operators have really found this tool helpful in planning for shutdowns and special operations. And process designers can do trial and error calculations quickly to make sure high-level alarms are placed properly. The price for this product is $50.
