A generic overview of OSHA requirements
Voluntary Protection Program
The OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) is a cooperative effort where
a site meets the VPP requirements of an exemplary safety program in return
for OSHA's forbearance in making regular, programmatic inspections.
According to OSHA, VPP participants have 60 to 80 percent fewer lost
workday injuries than industry averages for the type and size of the
facility.
